Looking Into the New Year
A Message from our CEO, Dave Shore:
As we enter 2025, I am reminded that early last year ALS United North Carolina, along with fourteen other ALS United affiliated organizations adopted a statement: Together, We End ALS. That statement for us right here in North Carolina is driving our collective actions and strategic decisions to continue to make significant strides in combating ALS. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life for those living with ALS through comprehensive care programs. We will continue to ask you to be a proud supporter and join us along the way this coming year. Our ALS United walk program has raised over $10 million in the last 11 years. It’s a one-day celebration in six different cities across the state that joins families, caregivers, friends, colleagues, and advocates who support the fight to end ALS. It’s just one of the ways we will invite you to gather with us. In your own hometowns you can become part of our wide-ranging network of constituents who help us advocate on a state and federal level , so that our government leaders know that we are intent on delivering more support, more research, more treatments, and of course, more hope that someday we will all celebrate a cure. As CEO, I want to hear from you so please send any questions to me at contactus@alsnc.org and help us advance further than ever in 2025.

Consider Supporting Our End of Year Campaign
It is not too late to donate to ALS United North Carolina!
We are taking time to reflect on what “united” means, as it is a central word in our name. United means that together, as a united front between ALS Clinics and our Care Services Team, we can ensure that those living with ALS receive quality medical care and the support and resources that they need to live their life to the fullest. United means being advocates in local and federal government to ensure that those living with ALS receive the benefits and care they deserve, especially veterans. United means investing and supporting researchers and trials that aim to find a cure. The word “united” guides our comprehensive approach every day.
Most importantly, we need to stay united in the fight against ALS. We ask you to please consider making a donation so that we can continue to serve the ALS community. Our fiscal year runs through January 31st, 2025 so it is not too late to make an end of year contribution.
