Leadership Change Announced at ALS United North Carolina

RALEIGH: The Board of Directors of ALS United NC announced today that Dave Shore has departed from his role as CEO of ALS United NC, effective February 25. The Board expresses appreciation for his service to our organization and wishes him well in his future endeavors.

Anne Hurd has been appointed as interim CEO. Ms. Hurd has extensive experience in fundraising and non-profit organization management. CapDev has been engaged to perform an executive search for a new CEO.

During the next few months of transition, ALS United NC will continue to fully meet its mission to support research, advance advocacy, and provide care services to individuals and families affected by ALS. All current operations such as Care Services, advocacy, equipment loans, fundraising will continue as normal.

The Board is eager to continue its work fighting for a cure and helping people with ALS live their lives to the fullest.
